The group grocery finance assignment consisted of doing comparison shopping between some major grocery stores. We learned that by doing research you can valuable dollars. In our list we saved about $17. It might not seem a lot, but that savings could be used in many ways; for example it can be put directly in a savings account or it can be enough to buy a decent amount of term life insurance.
The assignment named "Reducing the National Debt"consisted of figuring out areas of the US government budget that could be increased or decreased. It was interesting because when cutting programs you are bound to offend some one, or if you try to cut the budget you can offend some one else. The changes to this country economic problems I think, rely in changing our culture as a whole. Saving and smart finances have not been a priority for this country in a very long time.
