In this modern age, were technology has allowed us to simplify and optimize our lives in every aspect, has also dramaticallyreduced the amount of physical activity we engaged in. The shift from an active life style to a sedentary one has created the vast need to engage in excersise programs to compensate for lack of excersise. Therefore I realized that this class would beneficial in my life to restore balance and improve my overall state if well being.
A few of the reasons why I chose to continue a wightlifting regimen have to do with my preocupation with the modern sedentary life style and it's negative impact. I found weightlifting as a way to fight stress, reduce the probabilty to develop preventable health issues (i.e. diabetes, hypertension etc.) improve physical appereance, to prevent and correct muscle imbalances, boost self steem and confidence.
Thus by enrolling in this course, it provided me with further knowledge in the field of strenght trainning; it helped me correct and improve proper form and technique. It also helped me organize and device a routine that would adress personal goals. I also learned new excersices and techniques that will helpe me achieve my fitness goals.
Therefore I believe that those skills gained will benefit me the rest of my life since they are principles that can be applied regardless of the facility I decide to enroll in to continue in this discipline. Beyond that, learning and improving on what I previously knew about strenght trainning only motivates me to make fitness a life time pursue.
